The beautiful professionally landscaped gardens are a delight to explore and relax in, with immaculate lawns, mature flower borders and an ornamental fish pond. Stroll around the garden and you will also come across the small collection of rare breed hens, providers of many a fine breakfast and always a pleasure to watch as they scurry about their busy lives.

There is a suspended deck over the fish pond, where you can sit and contemplate the beautiful setting and perhaps feed the fish. There is also a private guest patio situated just off the guest lounge. Here you can sit and take breakfast in the sun or enjoy a relaxing evening drink at the end of the day.

Area Information

Beautiful countryside, important historical sites, castles and museums, Shropshire has plenty so see and do and for you to discover,

The guest house is surrounded by beautiful countryside. Whether you are visiting the region as a sightseer, a walker, or simply to relax and recharge, you will not be disappointed.

Shropshire is blessed with many important historical sites that can be visited all year round. Possibly one of the country’s most significant is the Ironbridge Gorge World Heritage Site, birthplace of the industrial revolution. The site is situated on the banks of the River Severn in Telford and boasts many working museums which allow you to step back in time and experience a bygone era.

Alternatively you may wish to go further back in time and visit one of the region’s many castles, for example Ludlow, Shrewsbury, Stokesay or Powis Castle, just over the border in Powys in Wales. Ludlow castle is host to the famous annual arts festival which takes place in July.

Some other sites of interest in the area include the ruined abbeys of Buildwas and Haughmond, the significant Roman ruins at Wroxeter and the National Trust estate of Attingham Park. Wroxeter is also home to an award-winning vineyard, where you can sample some of their well-regarded wines and perhaps even purchase a bottle or 2.

There are various sporting clubs, activities and facilities within a short distance of the guest house. There are also plenty of excellent restaurants and pubs in which to enjoy a meal and have a drink within easy walking distance.
